Samson Wodajo (B ’10, B *25) will walk us through how federal contracts are a critical pathway for securing the long-term success of your company. Born in Ethiopia and having migrated to the United States at the age of eight, Wodajo has called New Orleans and Tulane home ever since. Married to Christina, a true New Orleanian native, they have two beautiful daughters Azra and Noa. Along with his small business endeavors, Wodajo also has a diverse professional experience. For 10 years he worked for the United States Marine Corps serving in various roles, including as contracting officer, where he held a warrant authority of $1 million. During his tenure, Wodajo managed various federal contracts with an aggregated amount of over $100 million. Wodajo also has more than eight years of experience working in the gaming and hospitality industry in various capacities such as marketing, continuous improvement and customer service. Currently, Wodajo works at C.A.C.I Inc., a major defense contractor, as a system analyst supporting the Defense Health Agency. In addition to juggling his role as a husband, father, business owner and employer, Wodajo is back in school at Tulane pursuing his MBA with a concentration in finance and global strategy. When Wodajo isn’t building his business empire, he loves to spend quality time with his wife and daughters. He takes pleasure in cooking, gardening, learning, working out and strengthening his spiritual walk.
