WRT is seeking an Architectural Summer Intern currently enrolled in an undergraduate program to join the team in the Philadelphia office. Our work focuses on a variety of architectural, planning, and urban design project types for multi-family residential, mixed-use, and educational clients.
Pay Range: $23.00 – $27.00
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborating across disciplines on design solutions for Housing and Education projects.
- Utilizing computer – assisted design software and equipment to prepare project drawings including construction documents, renderings, and visual communication graphics.
- Attend project meetings with relevant project teams and with clients of varied project types.
- Actively working on design projects, attending active construction sites and creating awards submissions.
- Setting and meeting tight deliverable schedules to meet client’s deadlines.
- Periodic travel to clients and project sites.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be enrolled in at least the third year of a bachelor’s degree program in Architecture.
- Have previous professional internship experience.
- Exhibit a drive for professional growth and development into a well-rounded architect
- Have a team player mentality with a desire to be mentored.
- Possess strong design and problem-solving skills.
- Be able to clearly articulate design concepts, processes, and solutions via verbal and written communications, as well as outstanding graphic representations.
- Exemplify a passion for design and building craft.
- Have excellent graphic, written and verbal communication skills.
- Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and interdisciplinary environment.
- Foster a desire to create positive impact in their community, on their environment, and within their profession, both within themselves and in collaboration with others.
- Be proficient with Revit (plus Dynamo), SketchUp, Rhino, Lumion, Enscape (plus VR), Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator), and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
