Position: Leasing Consultant

Reports to: Community Manager

Job Location: On-Site

Job Summary:

The Community Consultant is Walton Communities’ representative to all Residents and Prospects ensuring that all have an amazing experience. The focus of this role is on marketing, sales and resident relations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Sales/Marketing

  • Ensure personal appearance is at Walton standards at all times including appropriate uniform
  • Ensure property appearance is at Walton standards at all times including grounds, office, models, golf cart, compactor, amenity areas and vacant apartments, etc.
  • Be an expert on your property and community as it relates to:
  • Product Knowledge
  • Pricing
  • Community-at-large
  • Competition
  • The Walton Story
  • Your Script
  • Set weekly and monthly leasing goals and monitor conversion to determine achievement of goals
  • Lease apartments, garages and storage areas to qualified prospects
  • Follow-up with all qualified prospects following the Walton procedures and document accordingly
  • Attend sales meetings and quarterly sales & services meetings
  • Complete annual Enrichment and Development courses for continuing education
  • Partner with your property team members to build and execute a monthly marketing plan
  • Build relationship with community organizations and attend community at large events (i.e. schools, churches, business, civic, etc.)

Administration

  • Keep all filing current and in Walton order
  • Keep Availability/Activity Report current
  • Check phone messages and emails and respond to all requests promptly and appropriately
  • Collect competition stats weekly and for LRO
  • Responsible for following Walton procedures for:
    • Accepting and processing applications
    • Resident service requests
    • Product readiness (i.e. walking vacants, ensuring turnkey is completed, vendors are paid promptly, and renewals)

Resident Relations

  • Respond to all resident requests in a prompt and courteous manner with excellence
  • Document all resident concerns in Yardi and inform manager
  • Provide recommendations for resident activities/functions and ways to serve
  • Participate in resident activities and functions

Personal Competencies:

Education & Certifications

College Degree or equivalent experience required

Experience

Previous sales experience required

Strong computer skills required including Microsoft Office
