Institutional Equity Sales

About ThinkEquity, LLC (“ThinkEquity”)

ThinkEquity, a leading NYC based financial services firm is looking for trainees for its Institutional and Retail Equity sales department. This is an entry level job perfect for someone coming out of school or someone who has less than 1-3 years of experience and is looking for a career development opportunity in the investment banking industry.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Identifying and qualifying institutional and accredited investors (mutual funds, hedge funds, pension funds, family offices)
  • Market firm’s equity transactions- actively participate in the sales process, from lead generation to closing.
  • Book Deal and Non-deal roadshows both in the US and overseas
  • Collaborate with experienced sales brokers to develop and maintain strong relationships with firm’s investor network.
  • Work with companies and investors to set up corporate access events

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an Accredited University, preferably in Finance, Economics or related field
  • FINRA SIE, Series 7, Series 63 preferred
  • Strong communication skills on the phone
  • Strong work ethic and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Positivity, self-motivation and an entrepreneurial spirit

Compensation

  • Competitive starting salary of $32,500 plus commission
