Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our firm in the music and entertainment industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounting process, ensuring accuracy and meeting timely deadlines. This role requires a strong understanding of financial statements, account reconciliations, and proficiency in accounting software. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our clients and will work closely with management to provide insights into financial performance.

Duties

  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable functions to ensure timely processing of invoices and payments.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations on a regular basis to maintain accurate cash flow records.
  • Reconcile tour accounting.
  • Utilize AgilLink, Excel, and other software for efficient bookkeeping practices.
  • Perform ledger account reconciliation tasks to verify the accuracy of financial data.
  • Maintain organized records of all financial transactions and documentation for audits.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during the annual worker comp insurance audits to provide necessary documentation.
  • Prepare payroll submissions for clients’ employees and submit to 3rd party timely.
  • Review, code, and process payments for credit cards.
  • Track insurance confirming clients have adequate coverage.
  • Primary point of contact for clients’ tour managers, assistants and personnel.
  • Take the initiative to respond to daily emails and assist clients or their employees as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role in accounting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software applications.
  • Experience with accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiar with Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cashflow, and Chart of Accounts.
  • Experience in music entertainment firms a plus.
