Who We Are
Premium Merchant Funding is one of the largest brokerage platforms in the alternative lending industry, headquartered on Wall Street in New York City.
Twelve years ago we were a single office and today we are 26 offices across 4 countries, partnered with hundreds of lenders, offering 30+ capital products to American business owners who need financing when traditional banks decline them. Every one of those 26 offices is run by someone who started in this role.
The Miami office is our Wynwood operation, working the same lenders, products, and clients as our New York HQ floor.
The Role
You will build relationships with business owners, gather the information required to underwrite them, generate funding applications, and submit them to our in office closing team.
Every client you fund becomes part of a book of business you own. Those accounts generate repeat business and referrals, which is why performance in year two typically looks very different from year one. This is a relationship driven business, American small business owners make financing decisions with people, not platforms, and that is unlikely to change.
What We Look For
- Competitive drive and comfort working against a visible performance metric
- Strong verbal communication and the ability to build rapport quickly by phone
- Consistency and stamina in a high volume calling environment
- Coachability and accountability for your own numbers
A college degree is not required. Former college and high school athletes make up a significant portion of PMFs top performers, and that background translates well to this environment. Experience in cold calling, phone or face to face sales, retail, or hospitality is useful but not required.
Compensation and Advancement
Year one OTE $60,000 to $125,000, uncapped.
A defined path from this role to team manager in 11 to 24 months, based on production and the book of business you build rather than tenure or credentials.
The Office
Inside the WeWork Building in the Wynwood Arts District. Open plan floor with natural light, in walking distance of restaurants and coffee, in one of Miami’s most active commercial neighborhoods.
