The Company Culture and Event Specialist will join a collaborative team responsible for delivering large-scale, high-impact events and experiences—both in-person and virtual. This team drives the signature Newrez “Care Fiercely” culture, so the ideal candidate brings a positive, action-oriented, and can-do spirit to everything they do.

As an Company Culture and Event Specialist, you will play a key role in executing meaningful engagement programs that foster connection, support employee development, and enhance the overall workplace experience across all levels of the organization.

DESCRIPTION

Duties and Responsibilities

Program Management

  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of both virtual and in-person engagement and experience programs for employees, including flagship and new programs
  • Manage the planning, scheduling, logistics, communications and evaluation of engagement programs for five core sites at the company, with attention to a virtual experience wherever possible for employees at non-core sites
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure smooth execution of programs and events
  • Track program metrics and outcomes to measure effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
  • Maintain detailed project plans, timelines and budgets for learning initiatives
  • Utilize trends and insights to improve employee communications and bring innovative ideas.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Build strong relationships with internal teams to ensure alignment between engagement initiatives, resource planning, and business goals
  • Build strong relationships with external stakeholders and partners
  • Support and advise the DE&I and Newrez NOW leaders with event planning and programs

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of professional work experience in employee engagement, program management, communications, or marketing.
  • Experience in organizational event planning.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentations to senior stakeholders
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to thrive in a performance-driven environment

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

  • Ability to effectively communicate and articulate thoughts and ideas.
  • Knowledge of Smartsheet and Canva as well as internal engagement platforms related to employee experience including intranet and rewards
  • Experience managing registrations, tracking attendance and reporting on program outcomes
  • Ability to leverage data and analytics to assess the impact of engagement programs and recommend improvements
  • Self-directed and comfortable working with ambiguity and uncertainty.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
