Position Summary
The Production Assistant will support the Production Manager, as related to all department needs including, but not limited to, tracking, reviewing, and maintaining inventory and edits. Responsibilities include effective communication with vendors and internal personnel with high attention to detail and organization. The Production Assistant is a passionate team-player who reviews information for accuracy of project/product management with attention to time sensitive demands.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Production Manager with bulk production related tasks and communications with factories as advised
- Build and maintain shipping tracker log, inclusive of all reorders
- Build and maintain project logs, fabric trackers, and production payment trackers
- Own, review, and submit bulk production and freight forwarder invoices for payment
- Product creation within the inventory management system
- Write purchase orders, enter data into the inventory system, and maintain data and edits
- Review fabrication content for accuracy of each style per collection before hand-off
- Order all hang tags, labels, and ensure each factory has the amount needed per season
- Build and maintain bulk production fabric/trim binders
- Review all bulk fabric and trims for accuracy before submitting for approval
- Submit a list of advertising merchandise to respective factories for advance shipment
- Assistance with samples as needed
- Submit orders for specialty trim orders
- Duties and responsibilities may be expanded based on departmental needs
Requirements:
- High school diploma (or GED) required. Bachelor’s degree preferred in fashion or business-related field
- Collaborative team player who can work across the organization to accomplish team goals
- Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem solver who can work with little direction
- Excellent communication skills and business acumen
- Proficient organizational skills and detail oriented
- MS Office software experience specifically with Excel
