Job Overview:

Do you have a passion for your school? Do you have a great story to share about how you chose your school and what your experience has been like? Do you want a flexible work opportunity that also provides amazing resume experience? If you answered yes to any of these questions, apply to be a content creator through CampusReel.

CampusReel democratizes the university search process by crowdsourcing tens of thousands of student-made videos from hundreds of campuses. Our videos are authentic and honest – we allow current students to tell their campus story with 1-5 minute videos capturing campus life.

We offer two opportunities to participate: a research interview and content creation. All participating students must join the research interview. During the interview, we will share about bigger content creation opportunities and assess you for the role, if you’re interested.

Research Interview ($50)

  • For any current student, regardless of video/media skills.
  • 20-minute informal, recorded video call with a CampusReel team member.
  • Share your student experience openly and honestly. We will use your recorded interview in future videos for your school.
  • Learn about bigger content creation opportunities (where applicable).

Day-in-the-Life Video Creation ($150-250, depending on the role)

  • For enthusiastic, self-directed students wanting to develop videography, social media, or marketing skills.
  • Plan, record, and upload videos, using instructions and training from CampusReel and the CampusReel Creator App (available on iOS and Android). No editing required!
  • Approximately 4-5 hours to complete with a flexible schedule in the 2 week period.
  • For examples, please visit CampusReel.org

Eligibility:

  • Current student at a participating institution
  • Have a smartphone or video camera (for the research interview, a good webcam is sufficient).
  • Comfortable speaking on camera
  • Enthusiastic about sharing your school experience
  • For content creation opportunity: video editing experience is a plus (but not required)
  • students must have access to the campus
