Consulting Analyst, Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) (Hybrid) – Functional Role
Avaap is actively recruiting recent graduates and early career changers to join our next Analyst Development Program cohorts who start in Summer 2025. Read on to learn more about starting your consulting career at Avaap!
About the Program
Avaap’s Analyst Development Program is a two-year, highly visible program focusing on the development of fundamental consulting skills and fully integrating participants into our culture and core processes. The selected cohorts will develop depth in one product or service area and awareness across a variety of Avaap’s services. They will receive support from experienced consultants on each client engagement and an assigned mentor and people manager outside of their client work.
What You’ll Do
Each role and team at Avaap focuses on different projects and services, but what’s common across all of our entry-level roles is a focus on helping people and companies solve their most complex business challenges. If you love to dive into a problem headfirst and figure your way out, you’ll fit right in. The projects we work on vary, but our focus on delivering value to our clients and helping them achieve critical business objectives is consistent. The work that we do matters.
Applicants will be considered for opportunities on our Workday Human Capital Management team. The consultants on the team use their knowledge of Human Resources (HR) business processes to identify functional requirements and configure the system to meet them. Knowledge of HR, Payroll, or other shared services/administrative areas are commonly used in addition to the flexibility, drive, communication, and analytical skills that are core to any successful consultant.
You’ll be supported by other consultants on your team, but the chances are good you’ll grow and develop by being pushed outside of your comfort zone. All that comes with a huge upside – constant learning, the support to pursue certifications and training aligned to the work you’re doing and contributing to the company’s and our clients’ success.
As an Analyst you’ll experience:
Exposure: Our senior leadership is visible and present at all levels of the organization. As part of a small cohort of Analysts closely aligned to our Business Units’ growth strategy, you will stand out as an individual to influencers throughout the organization.
Opportunity: Analysts are targeted for promotion to Senior Analyst between 12-24 months. We also offer opportunities to take on leadership roles in our committees and capability groups where you’ll work side-by-side with other, seasoned consultants.
Support: Our Columbus, OH-based program provides you with a network from day one. With a mentor, people manager, and project lead once you’re up-and-running, you have a variety of people within the organization to support you.
Our Process
Successful applicants will be invited to participate in one or more interviews as follows:
- Initial Phone Conversation: Calls will be scheduled with a member of our Talent Acquisition Team starting on or around September 23rd
- Final Interview: Applicants who successfully progress through the initial phone conversation will be aligned and invited to a Zoom interview with practice leaders on or around October 18th
All Avaap recruiting activities will take place virtually unless otherwise requested.
