As a full-time Project Controls Engineer Lead, you will be part of a team of professionals, client project managers, construction professionals, and project stakeholders working on a data center project in Ohio. You will be responsible for developing, managing, and monitoring Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules and project control systems throughout the project lifecycle.

General responsibilities include:

  • Review project schedules and provide recommendations based on execution goals
  • Perform critical path analyses and identify schedule-related problems, recommend corrective actions
  • Conduct site walks for progress validation and prepare monthly reporting packages for project site team
  • Develop metrics, KPIs, and benchmarks to support the program
  • Review contractor’s progress and present to management for decision-making
  • Communicate project status and challenges effectively
  • Review and evaluate contract change orders and amendments for impact on budget and schedule
  • Participate in change order negotiations and evaluate contractor recovery schedules
  • Understand cost estimating and productivity principles to validate the project schedule

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in project or program scheduling on large construction programs and/or Data Centers
  • Preferred experience of at least 2 years of scheduling experience on data center projects
  • Strong understanding of cost engineering, scheduling, and delay analysis theories, principles, and practices
  • Knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequences
  • Familiarity with the Critical Path Method of scheduling both theoretically and as it applies in project management
  • Familiarity with contractual clauses as they apply to planning and scheduling
  • Ability to accurately interpret construction documents (drawings, specifications, contracts/general conditions) at all levels of design
  • Ability to read and interpret RFPs and RFIs
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
